🏕️ What to Bring to Camp – Barrhaven Tennis Camp (Full Day)

Location: Barrhaven Tennis Club – 76 Larkin Drive, Ottawa, ON, K2J 1A9

Hello Barrhaven Tennis Camp Parents,

We’re thrilled to welcome your child to a fun-filled week at the Barrhaven Tennis Camp! Below you’ll find everything you need to know to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.

🕘 Camp Hours & Drop-Off / Pick-Up

• Camp Hours: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

• Free Early Drop-Off: 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM

• Free After-Care: 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM

📝 Upon arrival each morning, please sign your child in at the registration desk.
🪪 Photo ID is required at pick-up for all parents and authorized individuals.

🏊‍♂️ Swimming Schedule

• Swimming Days: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays

• Time: 2:00PM – 3:30 PM at Walter Baker Pool

• Campers return to Barrhaven Tennis Club for pickup after 4:15 PM.

🔸 Children aged 7 and under are required to wear a lifejacket in the pool.
🔸 Lifejackets are available at Walter Baker, but campers may bring their own.

🎒 Daily Packing List

Please ensure your child brings the following items each day:

• Nut-free lunch and nut-free snacks (morning & afternoon)

• Refillable water bottle (refill stations available)

• Bathing suit and towel (swimming or water activities daily)

• Sunscreen and hat

• Closed-toe shoes (for tennis)

• Sandals (optional for water activities)

• Rain gear (raincoat, boots, change of clothes/socks)

• Tennis racquet

📦 Campers are asked to bring home all garbage (wrappers, containers, etc.) for recycling.
👕 Extra clothing can be left at camp for the week if needed.

🗓 Special Weekly Events:

• Thursdays: Doubles Tournament

• Fridays: Singles Tournament

🚫 Important Reminders

• No electronics: Please do not send cell phones, tablets, or similar items to camp.

• NKC and the Ottawa Catholic School Board are not responsible for any lost or damaged belongings.

• Campers can contact parents through head staff if needed.

✅ Camper Code of Conduct

All campers are expected to:

1. Respect others — including fellow campers, staff, and property

2. Follow our zero-tolerance policy for:

   • Physical or verbal assault

   • Harassment, discrimination, or psychological abuse

Failure to follow camp rules may result in suspension or removal from the program.
